    1. Hervey Bay Gem and Jewellery Show Held over two days, the Annual Hervey Bay Gem and Jewellery Show is one of the premier events of the year for the Fraser Coast.

    1. 150 Years in Hervey Bay Turn back the clock to Hervey Bay's early pioneering days at this free event at the Hervey Bay Historical Village and Museum in Scarness to celebrate 150 years of Hervey Bay. Dress up for the period dress competition and enjoy traditional demonstrations, stalls, tractor rides and much more old style fun.
    2. Biggest Morning Tea at the Botanic Gardens The Biggest Morning Tea Cuppa for Cancer event includes talks, garden tours and demonstrations. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Council. The Botanic Gardens are situated on a 26-hectare property which was established to display plants of the Wide Bay and Sandy Straits regions. Natural bushes, formal gardens and wetlands merge together to provide an environmental delight.
    3. Blessing of the Fleet Help celebrate the start of the whale watch season and a whole month of festivities in honour of the Humpback Whale.
    4. Fraser Lions Pier Festival The Fraser Lions Pier Festival is a fabulous annual family event celebrating the Urangan Pier, and includes a fishing competition, food, market stalls and entertainment.
    5. Harveys Birthday at the Teddy Bears Picnic Come and celebrate Harvey's third birthday at the annual Teddy Bears Picnic. The tranquil Botanical Gardens come alive as Condy Park Kindy hosts this annual picnic just for you and your teddy.
    6. Hervey Bay Seafood Festival The Hervey Bay Seafood Festival celebrates what Hervey Bay is famous for - the abundance and variety of wild caught seafood from the pristine waters of the Fraser Coast. This is the ultimate seafood escape for a weekend on the wild side with local seafood for every occasion captured in a breathtaking array of seafood dishes headlined by the world famous Hervey Bay scallop along with a variety of prawns, whiting, calamari,bug and crab dishes at the festival stalls.

Hervey Bay Whale Festival Hervey Bay Whale Festival is 'Cause for Celebration', marking the annual return of the majestic Humpback Whale to its protected shores, the community of Hervey Bay comes alive for the Fraser Coast's premier festival. Raising awareness of the plight of the Humpback Whale while celebrating its contribution to the community, the festival is a delightful mix for everyone.
    8. Illumination Don't miss the amazing spectacle as the community celebrates with a symbolic whale migration along the Esplanade. Glowing, shining, beaming and sparkling for a cause the Hervey Bay community come together annually for the much loved Illumination Parade; uniting local business, cultural and sporting organisations, charities, schools, youth groups and families as they light up the sky with colourful, amazing and sometimes crazy creations.
    9. Migaloo Starlight Swing The Pier Park promenade will come alive to the sounds of old time swing, under the stars.
    10. Ocean of Fun Ocean of fun is all about the protection of the bay and the whale season playground of the humpback. Joining market day at the Torquay Foreshore this event is dedicated to little kids and big kids at heart with round the clock stage shows at the McDonald's Kids stage, fun workshops, activities and talks all with an educational twist. There will also be fantastic activities to try on the water during the event promoting safe water sports.
    11. Paddle Out for Whales Paddle Out for Whales is an annual event that takes place in the whale watch capital of the world, Hervey Bay, raising important awareness of issues whales face today and to send a message that they need to be protected. It is part of National Whale Day held each year by IFAW.
    12. RiverFest Experience a celebration of all things nautical and much more at this celebration of the Mary River at River Heads.
    13. Sunday in the Park - Hervey Bay Arts Council Hervey Bay Arts Council hold an extra special Sunday in the Park on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at Scarness Park.
    14. Toogoom Easter Fair Come along to the Toogoom and District Easter Fair on Good Friday and experience all the fun of a coastal fair at the small seaside village of Toogoom, near Hervey Bay.
    15. Whale Aid Concert Seafront Oval comes alive creating a whale song for everyone. The concert is 5 hours of awesome music from a fantastic line up. Its Australian artists playing all original music with a 50/50 mix of local Fraser Coast musicians and other invited performers. Alongside the exciting entertainment program, a number of presentations are given via special guest presenters to raise awareness about the current plight of the Humpback Whale in the Southern Ocean.

    1. Koala Markets The Koala Markets, at Hervey Bay, offer an opportunity to buy and sell a wide range of arts and crafts, produce and bric-a-brac from over 230 stalls.
    2. Nikenbah Markets Nikenbah Markets are held on the first and third Sundays of each month, raising much needed funds for the Hervey Bay Animal Refuge - items for sale at these very popular Markets include arts and crafts, fresh produce, trash and treasure, cakes and jams and much more.
    3. Torquay Beachside Markets Torquay Beachside Markets are held on the Esplanade at Torquay, right next to the award winning Aquavue Cafe. When visiting Hervey Bay, or if you are lucky enough to be a resident in this beautiful seaside paradise, a must do on the agenda is to visit Torquay Beachside Markets.

    1. Hog's Breath Cafe Hervey Bay 100 The Hog's Breath Cafe Hervey Bay Hundred is a Long Course Triathlon consisting of a two kilometre swim, 80 kilometre bike, and an 18 kilometre run. It will take place along the beautiful foreshore of the protected waters of Hervey Bay. This event is run by the Hervey Bay Triathlon Club.
    2. Offshore Superboat Championships The Offshore Powerboats will be racing for National titles over three classes. This event is held at various locations on the eastern Australian coastline. Offshore Powerboats can travel at over 200 kilometres per hour across the sea with one person steering and one person controlling the speed, two people working as one in an enclosed canopy strapped in to their race seats with a five point race harness and an onboard air supply in case of an accident.
